General strategies and tips
Starting with general tips on what to prioritize on when developing heroes and titans. And following it up with efficient ways to spend money on the game (if you actually want to do that).
How to efficiently develop heroes
These priorities reflect a longterm perspective on the game. Parts with lower priority are not necessarily unimportant. But all of them are maxed relatively early and with fairly low resource demand. In order to max heroes quickly, it is more efficient to focus on the mid and esp. high priority parts that require the most resources. Also rememer to focus on five heroes first for quite a while.
Soul Stones - Prio: low
Experience and Levels - Prio: low
Skills - Prio: low
Items - Prio: MID
Skins - Prio: HIGH
Glyphs - Prio: MID
Gift of the Elements - Prio: low
Ascension - Prio: HIGH
Artifacts - Prio: MID to HIGH
How to efficiently develop titans and totems
Titans have less options and are a bit more straight forward. Also you look a lot more on specific stats.
Currently, the elements to prioritize would be Earth and Light, as this is the staple defense team in CoW and GW.
Soul Stones - Prio: low
Experience and Levels - Prio: MID
Skins - Prio: low to MID
Artifacts - Prio: low to HIGH
Totems: Level and Evolution - Prio: VERY HIGH
Spending Money efficiently
The sad part of this game is the dependency on spending money to make significant progression. I personally find it hard to be competitive being completely "free-to-play" (i tried that out with secondary accounts).
On the other hand i also cannot recommend overspending - it will take the fun out of the game for various reasons:
- Overpowering your opponents with sheer power instead of using your brain can feel unsatisfying and will let you fall behind once others catch up to you because you never learned the game properly
- Finishing a hero, titan or totem quickly also feels less satisfying than finally earning the rewards of a long development progress
- The game has a serious lack of content in the endgame, with just a few relevant game modes that are also both luck dependent and corrupted by cheating (Tournament of Elements, Clash of Worlds and Asgard). The early and mid game on the other hand offers more content, that is also more challenging and immersive imo. A steady pace is probably a lot more entertaining than jumping right into the endgame ... and then quit the game because there is not much to do anymore!
Overall, low to medium spending probably grants the best gaming experience. Let's see what the game offers in terms of spending options ... in order of PRIORITY:

Overview of Emerald Value ("EV") per EUR spent - approximates! It considers spending money on the cheaper Gifts (from guildmates) when available.
*Note for these EV numbers: The New Hero & Titan Adventures need Chapter 7 to be finished (requires some extra Daily Charges that are priced in). AoC needs its Castle level to be level 40 and the potions to not be used in battle but exchanged after the event for chests. Emerald Sale is for VIP 15.
